Coaching

With the advent of summer, we also experience summer games. It takes alot to coach baseball, swimming, soccer and all those sports. We also have crew chiefs in racing, captains of sailing vessels, and pilots of aircraft. Business owners are coaches too. Each one has a specific job to do within their “game”. The primary duty of the coach is to see that the mission is completed in the best form, with the best possible outcome, with the least amount of problems. That’s a tall order. As a business owner, I take that job very seriously. Leading the team to success can be exhilarating, challenging, frightening, but most of all, rewarding. As we work together to be the changepoint operation for our client, we learn alot about each other. Our strengths and weaknesses. Our habits, good and bad. Do we have those days of “She’s pulling my hair!” or “He ate my doughnut?” Of course we do. But we also have great days of celebration upon a wedding or a child hitting a home run. Taking time to notate those events is important for your staff. And it is my job as the coach to be sure we get that accomplished. Celebrating or mourning with my staff let’s them know that I care about what happens to them. As we spend most of our waking hours together, you can’t help but have a crossover in work and life. Coaching each other through the good and bad, gives us continuity in our lives. And the staff at TSS knows that I am always their biggest cheerleader. And they are mine. Safe Journeys ~ Renee
